The Rams hosted Valley on Thursday for their first annual Heroes Night Meet, which honors military service members. Sergeant First Class Marc Brown, Southeast Polk’s National Guard recruiter, helped by providing military themed caps along with Iowa Army National Guard tattoos and t-shirts for the team. The team also raised money for the Puppy Jake Foundation, which provides wounded veterans service dogs and is locally based in the Des Moines area. Junior Varsity Swimmer of the Meet was Roy Roche who swam personal records in the 50 and 500 Freestyle events. Varsity Swimmer of the Meet was Brady Snetselaar who swam personal records in the 200 and 500 Freestyle events.
